SKAN is a global leader in high-containment isolator systems for aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing.
As the company underwent a rapid transformation, it sought to evolve from a technology provider into a customer solutions partner—one that advises, consults, and supports decision-making across complex regulatory and operational environments.
This shift required a fundamental change in how SKAN showed up in the world.

Saving Sight — Novartis
Reframing avoidable blindness as a public-health priority
Avoidable blindness remains one of the world’s most under-recognized public-health challenges, despite the fact that early detection and timely intervention can prevent vision loss in the vast majority of cases.
While working at Novartis, I identified an opportunity to shift how eye health was being discussed: away from late-stage treatment, and toward prevention, early screening, and system-level action.
This was not a brief I was given. It was a voluntary initiative driven by a conviction that communications could play a catalytic role in reframing the issue—and in mobilizing the right actors to act.
This initiative was conceived and led during my time at Novartis, prior to the establishment of Wolf Strategic Communications.
I conceived and led the Saving Sight initiative as a coalition-based advocacy effort, designed to work across functions, geographies, and sectors.
At its core was a deeply collaborative model:

Aligning communications, public affairs, advocacy, and medical teams around a shared narrative and objective

Coordinating global strategy while enabling strong local activation in priority markets
-
Building partnerships with leading vision-health organizations, including the Fred Hollows Foundation and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), to scale reach, credibility, and impact

Developing clear, human-centered messaging that translated clinical urgency into a compelling public-health case for early screening
The work required orchestration rather than ownership—bringing diverse stakeholders together around a common purpose and enabling them to move in concert.

The initiative helped elevate avoidable blindness on the public-health agenda and translated advocacy into real-world action.
More than 77,000 vision screenings were delivered to people who might otherwise have gone undiagnosed
Eye health was reframed as a prevention and early-detection issue, not only a treatment challenge
Cross-sector collaboration demonstrated how industry, NGOs, and policy actors can work together effectively when aligned by a shared narrative
The initiative was recognized with two Silver AMEC Awards for excellence in communications measurement and for the impact of insights generated through the campaign
